| 英文描述 | Hyperkinetic episodes occur mainly in the Scottish Terrier and are inherited as an autosomal recessive trait; they have also been reported in the Dalmatian. Onset of signs is from 1.5 to 18 months of age and the episodes are stimulated by exercise or excitement. Signs include hypertonia of all limbs and the axial muscles, 'goosestepping' gait, muscular spasm, arched back, and hyperextension of limbs, severe stiffness and inability to walk. |
